putting the green in clean

Composac Ireland

Composac Ireland was born through necessity.

Landfill space is almost non existent in Ireland and will no doubt become a thing of the past. Alternative systems need to be implemented to ensure effective waste management for future generations.

Recycling is now a familiar concept to most, but the area of composting, to many, is relatively new.

Composting has long been considered exclusive to the farmer and/or the horticulturally minded but is now an easy and viable option for the householder. With the rising costs of waste disposal composting presents an ideal opportunity to do your bit for the environment while saving money.

Environmental Policy

Composac is based in a residential property at 20 The Grove, Grantstown Park, Waterford, Ireland. The company provides biodegradable bags for compost waste to householders and commercial operations in the southeast region.

The company is office based with sales communications primarily taking place by phone or email. Deliveries are made to retail outlets that stock the biodegradable bags and directly to commercial customers as required.

Composac understands that it's operations impact on the environment. Composac is committed to ensuring that these environmental impacts are minimised where possible and that all the company's activities are carried out in a manner which ensures pollution prevention and compliance with all regulatoy and statutory requirements.

The main impacts to be addressed through the implementation of an environmental management system are reduced impacts associated with waste management and transport of product.

Composac will specifically address the formalisation of waste management in the first instance.

Having comitted to achieving the Green Dragon Environmental Standard, Composac has commited to:

  • Continually improve our operations and main impacts
  • Set and monitor environmental objectives and targets
  • Promote environmental awareness
  • Consider environmental impacts when planning for operational changes

This Environmental Policy will be reviewed annually and will be made available to all interested parties on request.
